YEARLING SALES – DRAFT Preview 19th February

What’s next for Bombora Downs? Yearlings Sales preparation is underway …

The 2018 breeding season has just about finished with only a few mares left to be scanned for their 45-day pregnancy tests.

We had 124 foals born with the colts nearly doubling the number of fillies born. We had a number of thoroughbreds of course but as always, a few warmbloods, a couple of standardbreds, and some cheeky ponies. The stallions were occupied during the season with a number of mares, plus a well worn track north for some of the ladies for walk-ons.

Now we are onto the Yearling Sales. The first of these will be the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale on the 3rd to 6th March. We are preparing 17 yearlings and if you are interested in having a look before the sales, they will be being paraded on Tuesday 19th February, starting time (currently) is 10:45am, but please arrive earlier just in case we start earlier. Inglis is arranging a bus from Mornington Racecourse to take people around the various vendors. Please contact Inglis for details.
